Home Eye Care

Home eye care visits

Is it becoming hard for residents at your facility to see an eye doctor?

The burden of escorting residents to outside appointments; problems found late because there are few noticeable symptoms; the risk of falls and the loss of motivation that come with failing sight. Residents' eye health is closely tied to their quality of life in the facility as a whole.

We provide eye care mainly by visiting care homes for older people. Basic tests that are easy on residents, such as sight, eye pressure and a look at the back of the eye, are carried out on site. No staff escort is needed, so your daily work is not interrupted. Results come back on a clear summary sheet, which makes them easy to put into care plans and to share with families. Where findings are closely linked to internal conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy, we work together with the patient's internal medicine doctor.

We also take enquiries from people living in their own homes, case by case. Please get in touch.

Approximate fee: around 1,000 yen per visit(with medical insurance, at a 10% co-payment)
This varies slightly depending on the consultation and the tests carried out.
